Renovating the House Continues!

My favorite day of the week- SUNDAY! It always has been. I've always enjoyed waking up early, but especially on Sundays. To get a good work out and time in peace is a luxury most people don't get the chance to enjoy too often. I love getting the opportunity to enjoy worshipping with others at church and then having the day to run errands and do 'our thing'. Today, after going to church, and getting to share a new couples membership into our church (which I think is one of the most simplistic yet awesome experiences to see), we headed out on our mission-to continue adding bits and pieces to the house. And, might I add, a lot of hard labor as well :). We went to COSTCO! And, did some great bargain grocery shopping but we also got our new t.v. for above the fireplace. And, I have to thank David & Mitchell for putting all their hard work into mounting it securely! Now, Mitchell and I need to add some more furniture to our living room. It's looking scarce! So, now on the immediate agenda, we have new counters and table and light and furniture to add to the list. Oh and not to mention, the flooring, the painting upstairs, wall repairing, etc. Oh and the outside....one day at a time... Sweet dreams....

Christmas 2008

Mitchell & I had a fabulous time in Indiana visiting my side of the family! We headed out early Tuesday morning for the 9-10 hour trip. Once to Indiana, in record time, we spent the last 30 minute drive of the trip in the car for an extra 2 hours due to the freezing rain. But, it was well worth the trip! Toby & Bug did fabulous! They kept entertained barking at the other travelers on the road :). We did dinner and drinks with my parents & Kyle & Kandyce at 'Mud Socks Bar & Grill'. And, Wednesday, Mitchell and I spent helping my mom in the kitchen with Christmas Eve dinner. We made some puppy chow and helped her with the dinner. It was a delicious meal! And, everyone was able to join us. Amy,Travis,Miles,Kyle, & Kandyce. Andy and everyone else spent the day opening presents, eating brunch, relaxing, playing games, having a yummy dinner on Christmas Day. My dad beat my mom and I and Mitchell at Clue! Who knew Madame Rose was the murderer! in the Drawing Room! With the Wrench! Haha! Friday, Mitchell and I went shopping and saw Seven Pounds with my parents. Excellent movie! And, we spent the evening at Amy and Travis's playing Pictionary with everyone and eating some great Chili! We were sad to not see Sarah & John, but they were definitely missed while they were in Texas over the Holidays! Today, we had to sadly drive back to Georgia! We are glad to be back in our own home where the dogs are free to run, but it was sad to say good-bye after such a short trip. We made it in 9 hours!

Just in enough time for Mitchell and I to unpack, swim 2 miles, cook dinner, and relax!!

It's hard to believe Christmas 2008 has already come and gone! Looking forward to many more in the future!!

CJ had a great dinner to celebrate our 2nd Anniversary and Grandaddy & Dee's 58th Wedding Anniversary! We hope to share the same years of happiness as they have over all this time.
We are packing today for Indiana! We are very excited to see my parents and siblings! It's been 3-4 months since I've been back home. I am definitely looking forward to it! May God be with all of you over this Holiday Season. We wish you Safe Travels. May each of you have a blessed Christmas. Tis the Season.

Our babies! Toby and Bug!

Toby is 4 years old now! He loves playing with Bug and his mom and dad! And, he loves it especially when he gets to spend special time with his mom (which is almost every minute possible-haha). Toby is a black lab/cocker spaniel mix dog! He was rescued from a bad home and we LOVE him to pieces! His ears are the best! His face is cute enough to make you melt!

Bug is 2 years old now! Her birthday was just 2 days ago! She's a black lab and full of life!! She keeps going and going and going'. Bug's favorite thing to do is play ball or go hunting with her dad! She's a daddy's girl!

OUR HOME

Mitchell and I moved from Cincinnati back South in July 2008! Our new house is the 'perfect' home. Needs a lot of TLC and a lot of improvements! We are taking one step at a time!
We finished the bathroom, laundry room, painted the entire downstairs (with our painting crew of Mom,Dad,Amy,&Miles), and we are working on completing the finishing touches in the kitchen! More to come as we haven't even begun on the upstairs!

Christmas is Coming!

Christmas is coming!!!! Mitchell & I have almost finished our holiday shopping! And, we are looking forward to our own little Christmas at our new house this year. And, then we are on to Indiana for a White Christmas and time with our new little nephew Miles!

We had a blast at the Attaway's Christmas Party this past weekend! Great food & fun games! Mitchell even made Christmas cookies! Yum!
